A Mother's Day Memory

My family doesn't celebrate Mother's Day, because it's not part of Chinese culture. I doubt that my mother even knows that it's Mother's Day today. When I was in the first grade, I was required to make a Mother's Day card. The only thing that I recall about it is that I wrote "Tank You" on it. I had not mastered spelling yet, but I knew how to spell phonetically, and that is how my mother pronounced "thank". My sister thought this was hilarious.
