Dream Log 09-16-09

I am eating lunch at a school cafeteria. It looks like it might be at my junior high school, but everyone in the lunchroom is an adult. A very muscular blind man approaches the table where I am sitting. I do not recognize him, but everyone else does. The entire room becomes quiet and there is tremendous tension. Everyone stares at the blind man with a mixture of hatred and fear.

The blind man puts his arm around the man who is sitting next to me. The man sitting next to me looks at me with an expression of intense desperation and fear. There is a facial gesture implying that he is pleading for my help to rescue him from the situation. Apparently the blind man is an infamous bully who has tormented the entire school, but I somehow never knew of his existence. The blind man is wearing a trench coat and I briefly see a flash of a sword hidden in his coat. I do not have any weapons with me and choose to proceed cautiously.

The woman sitting in front of me gets very angry and starts cursing at the blind man. For a brief moment, he has a look of menacing anger on his face and I expect him to attack, but he suddenly forces a smile on his face and declares that he is a nice person now. He reaches over to hug her and kiss her forehead, but she somehow quickly moves over and places a gigantic teddy bear where she was sitting. The blind man hugs and kisses the teddy bear and laughs. He then reaches over and finds the woman. He hugs her and kisses her forehead. She glances at me and silently pleads for my help.

After the blind man leaves, everyone at the table pleads with me to kill him. They tell me that he is an exceptionally skilled swordsman despite being blind and I am the only one skilled enough to defeat him. I could not ignore all the desperate pleas, but I also did not really have a desire to kill him. I decided to go after him, but I wasn't sure what I would do when I found him. I informed the group that I did not have a sword with me. Someone found a sword for me that was very unusual. The blade resembled the approximate shape of a generic drawing of a flame. It was also slightly flexible and I could feel the blade shake a bit when I moved the sword around. I did not feel comfortable using this sword, but it was the only one available. I asked if a long hard weapon were available. I wanted something like a steel rod, but the only thing we could find was a hammer. I carried the hammer in my left hand and the sword in my right hand, and I went on a journey to pursue the blind man.

The blind man had thousands of slaves working for him. He was the leader of some kind of secret underworld empire. Many of his slaves wanted to rebel, but none of them dared to try. When they saw me, they instantly knew that I was there to liberate them. They provided directions for how to find him. The secret entrance was located inside of a closet. I had to push away some ceiling tiles in the closet and climb up without the use of a ladder or rope. Once inside, I found a computer room filled with very old computers. There were children sitting at the computers working on them. I loudly said "Destroy the computers" in a Dalek voice. I don't know how I knew that it had to be said in that way, but it was apparently correct. All the children started chanting "Destroy the computers". They then smashed all the computers and I continued on my journey.

An explosion occurred that caused the floor to shake. It did not originate from the computer room. I approached the area where the explosion had happened and see that some parts of the wall had collapsed. I go through the hole in the wall and see the blind man there surrounded by a group of his slaves. The phone rings and I wake up.

It looks scary, but it was very wobbly in my dream. I needed a second weapon because I thought the sword might break during use.

I don't think I would trust it either...this looks more for show, rather than actual use.

That is what I thought. It didn't glow or have magical properties. It was just a flimsy display sword.
