It is just a formality that the government says they have to do. They will give you the amount you owe and tell you about how interest makes you pay more and stuff like that. It is not a big deal.
You know you can get an economical hardship if you don't make (what they consider) too much money.
If that does not work you can put them into forebarance (sp) and though interest still is added to the loans you don't have to pay them at that time.
The exit interview should advise you about those things, too.
