Try using them in a sentence. I had to do that with "roof," because I had been specifically trained to pronounce it a certain way, but that's not how I pronounce it when I'm speaking naturally.

Probably the teacher thing. Because I teach kids how to read so I know how to properly pronounce words, but that's not how I say them when I talk.

It's funny... West Florida has a rather low opinion of South Florida, too. :)

For how long? I've seen a person get it and they didn't even seem to flinch....so I don't know, different levels of pain tolerance?

My 15 y/o niece got it and it didn't bother her. I got it and for about two months I had sharp pains all the time. Weight gain. PMS constantly. Acne. Just really, really bad side effects. I couldn't deal.

But I'm really bad with pretty much any and all forms of birth control except condoms. They all try to give me heart attacks and whatnot. It's fun.

I just don't suggest IUDs. But that's just from personal experience. There are two other teachers at work who went through the same experience, too though, so idk.

I'm not talking from personal experience, but from what I was educated about it, that's what I was told. I think you took a tylenol beforehand, it probably wouldn't even hurt at all. If it does hurt, it is momentary. If I didn't get free oral birth control, I would do it. It also lowers your risk of cancer and as a nulliparous woman, you should definitely be into that. =)

You should be using them at least a month beforehand. You should be talking to your doctor. You should also use condoms.
